User Groups
Why should I start a User Group?
Snort User Groups can benefit both the community and the technology. The groups enable users to get together and share their experiences and ideas about Snort, and suggest changes to the technology to help make it more efficient and enjoyable to use for everyone.
How to start a User Group:
E-mail snort_groups@sourcefire.com with your name, e-mail address, location, website (if applicable), and any ideas you may have as far as locations or dates that you would like to get together. Remember, location is always key in planning a meeting. Possible locations include conference rooms, libraries, universities, and even internet cafes. In addition, Sourcefire will help with the organization and logistics of your user group meetings, including:
- Identifying speakers
- Promoting meetings
- Facilitating communications
- Providing Snort goodies
